Is it your intuition or anxiety...?
How to KNOW the difference & change your mindset forever
🫧 Happy Sunday Reset!! 🫧
Just so we’re all on the same page, this is the vibe that I’m tapping into this week:

… which leads us to this week’s topic:
Intuition vs. Anxiety.
However, before I get into that:
First, you need to learn how to listen to your body.
Our body is constantly sending us signals. If you were to touch a burning hot stove, your nociceptors (tiny nerve endings throughout your skin and tissues) would send your brain a signal saying… PLEASE REMOVE YOUR HAND NOW. OMFG THIS IS BURNING!!
Even though it feels painful, the signal is extremely helpful. Could you imagine if you didn’t feel that pain? The skin on your hand could completely burn to a crisp and become prone to serious infections.
Just like physical pain, mental pain is an extremely helpful signal.
Here is where the issue begins: we are not taught how to listen to our mental pain. We are taught that something is wrong with us, and we need to bury it or distract ourselves.
So, rather than listening to the signals your mind and body send and act accordingly, they may stay stuck in your body, and you could accidentally create maladaptive coping mechanisms that solve the symptoms and not the actual root cause.
Some examples of maladaptive coping mechanisms include:
Doom scrolling or over-stimulating yourself
Turning to substances or guilty pleasures when discomfort arises
Self-pity, rumination, and going down thought spirals
Projecting onto others
When uncomfortable emotions arise, rather than immediately trying to distract yourself or use a maladaptive coping mechanism, sit with them. If you don’t know where to start, this past letter may help you.
Intuition will feel light, and anxiety will feel heavy.
Your intuition is your Truth. Truth will always feel light, inspiring, or freeing… and I mean always.
If a thought is not true, if it’s a spewed perception of reality, and you’re going in the opposite direction of Truth, your body sends you the signals to communicate that. These signals might be:
Tension in your throat and chest
Feelings of despair, hopelessness, and fear
Confusion and lack of clarity
Anger, frustration, disconnect
When a thought causes more of these feelings… that is a good indication that it is not Truth. It might be coming from your anxiety or programmed fear.
You can still feel it, you can still be affected by it, but the key is to sit with it and not act on it.
When you act out of a particular emotion or belief, that attracts more of that same emotion and reinforces that belief.
For example, if someone makes a decision out of fear, they are programming their brain to rely on fear-based decision-making.
… or, if someone decides to sit with their fear in meditation, uses the power of pausing before acting, and makes a decision out of peace or hope, they are programming their brain to rely on THOSE pathways.
And what is at the core of reality creation??
What you choose to focus on, you attract more of.
So, listen to your mental pain has to say, sit with it, and act out of your Truth.
🪽✨ With so much love and light,
Emma
