How to return to yourself & stop performing for others
Trust me… I know the anxious thought loops feel like they’re solving something.
They feel like protection. Like maybe if you overanalyze everything, you’ll be aware of the psychological pain before someone can inflict it on you again. Like maybe if you just try harder, you’ll finally feel safe and worthy. But you’re creating it.
You can show your brain a new reality.
The anxious loops are not your truth. Your truth is what you feel when you are in flow, in the present moment, and at peace with yourself.
But the anxious thought loops are just a symptom of misalignment. Of a soul that’s been living on autopilot. Of a version of you that was once told growing, in a hundred subtle ways, that just being who you are wasn’t enough.
And I want you to know — you don’t need to earn your worth back. You just need to return to yourself.
here’s how to begin returning to yourself today:
🌬️ Breathe into your body.
Place a hand on your heart and one on your belly. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 6. Repeat until you soften into the present moment. Notice the thoughts and beliefs for exactly what they are: just passing energy moving in your body.
📱 Be intentional with the information you consume.
Especially if you’ve been swimming in other people’s voices, or voices in your head that you know are not your true self. The whisper of your higher self gets drowned out when the feed is too loud.
✍️ Reflect on this:
“What part of me have I been abandoning in order to feel accepted?”
Let whatever comes up be safe. Let that part be seen. Personally (as I talk about in this video), I’ve found that I hide the version of me that is in love with spirituality and spreading a good message depending on who I’m with. But why hide that version of me, when it’s so authentic to who I am?
🧸 Hold the little version of you.
The one who first learned she needed to perform to be loved. Grieve what she lost. Remind her she doesn’t have to fight anymore.
