How to Deal with Negative Thoughts & Energy

I’m sure you’ve heard you are not your thoughts a million times before.
So, why is it still so difficult not to loop over and feed negative stories about ourselves or the world?
Dark thoughts and energy attach to everyone—but the key is to let them pass through you rather than stick to you.
When we feed our thinking mind (ego), our mind gets cluttered. The answer that we are looking for (often right in front of us) starts to blur.
So what’s the fix? Use the energy as a cue, not a cage that you need to identify with.
Too in your head? → Connect with people or read.
Feeling angry? → Lift weights or go for a walk.
Confused? → Journal.
Anxious? → Create art.
That’s all it is. Dark thoughts don’t have to define you—they can guide you to your next move.
And remember: acceptance is the ultimate power move. True healing isn’t about "fixing" yourself; it’s about embracing every piece of you—the sadness, the joy, the fear, the love. Energy is energy. There is no hierarchy.
Let it flow. Let it pass. Let yourself be whole.
