Everything you desire lies behind mastering your mental barriers

Happy Sunday, alchemists! 🪄
I’ll say it again here: everything you desire lies behind mastering your mental barrier.
What do I mean by this?
Mental barriers usually show up in the following 3 ways:
Comfort now. This mental barrier will say things like, I’ll do it tomorrow. I can figure it out later. I call it disguised comfort, as you are always paying the price when “tomorrow” comes, since only then do you realize you’re actually stuck in a loop.
The spotlight effect. This is a psychological phenomenon that describes the feeling of being watched, where we think everyone is judging us, and the thought of “what will they think of me?!?!” when, in reality, no one cares that much. At the end of the day, people are focused on their own problems and mental chatter. But… when you feed the spotlight effect, it can stop you from doing the things that your soul feel called to do, when it’s all just an illusion.
Self-deprecation. When wanting to create a new life and wanting to stretch your comfort zone, you might start thinking, “I don’t know anything about this… I can’t do this… This will take too long…” and so on. I remember feeling this way when starting YouTube, as I had a HUGE fear of being perceived. That self-deprecation showed up when I was disconnected from my real reason for starting, which was to help people on a healing journey. So again, this mental barrier is never truth, but just a distraction from your why.
These 3 mental barriers are normal, and EVERYONE experiences them.
But, I’m in a moment of life where I’m being reminded to see these mental barriers for exactly what they are: illusions.
What these mental barriers try so hard to convince you of is actually just not true.
We have the power to decide what is true.
We help enforce what we want to be true with actions and choices.
You either let them stop you from doing what your soul craves to do and what you know is good for you, or you don’t.
I think this is so important to talk about with New Year’s & new resolutions coming up. EXPECT the mental barriers. It’s part of the process, and they are all just tests.
The most important part of this whole process is awareness. Try to pay attention to where these mental barriers come up in your own life, and be intentional with how you respond to them.
