3 steps to make 2026 your best year yet.

picture it's December 2026... and everything went better than you ever could have imagined...

I hope you are having a wonderful start to your week.

2025 was one of the craziest years of my life.

  • I moved from the US to do neuroscience research in Copenhagen, Denmark, for 4 months.

  • My channel went from 50 to 13k subscribers, and I made my childhood dreams of getting monetized come true.

  • But what’s so much better? I connected with SO many of you beautiful souls.

  • I produced my first-ever song (another childhood dream).

  • I made wonderful new friends.

  • My relationship is in the best place it has ever been.

But!!! Here is the fine print (that should not be fine print and should be talked about more!!!)

It came with moments of stress, anxiety, a lot of tears, and insecurity. 

Which leads me to my first point: life will always, ALWAYS, have duality. But that’s what makes it really freaking fun. That’s what MAKES it a journey worth taking. But more on that later. :)

We’re at that time of the year when we see a lot of New Year’s content, and I love it. So, I wanted to create a guide of my own, including the successes (and mistakes) I made in previous years, that can completely shift your life.

Step 1: You have GOT to surrender to the flow of life and your emotions.

Exactly my point in the intro.

The (very normal) tears and stress that I experienced in some moments this past year were a result of wanting to control situations or wanting to control my emotions.

I was putting too much attention on mental chatter (or the voice of the ego, rather than the higher self), and not accepting the moment for what it was.

I would say 85-90% of my days this year, I woke up with pure joy and excitement. Which is a staggering increase from many years ago, when I was struggling with depression, where I would say I woke up with joy maybe 5-10% of days or less.

(and if you think your numbers might be low in this season of your life, stick around. That’s what this journey is for, because you deserve, and will, have high numbers that you didn’t even think were possible.)

Here is what everyone forgets (especially when you’re in the thick of it):

  • You are MEANT to have hard days because you are human. Allow yourself to surrender to the experience.

  • You are MEANT to feel some doubt and stress when you’re creating a new life. Congratulations!!!! You are stretching what you think is possible for yourself. It’s part of the process.

  • You are MEANT to have moments where it feels like you made no progress or are right back to where you started. It’s a test. Just keep pushing.

So, bottom line: Please stop putting pressure on yourself to feel good all the time. It’s in the moments where it feels tough or heavy or muddy that we really learn. Surrender to the flow of your life and emotions. Sit with them.

Step 2: Get SO DAMN SPECIFIC with what you want before the New Year begins.

I remember when I started my YouTube channel, I wanted 50 aligned subscribers before 2025, and I got that.

I wanted a community of 1k before spring, and I got that.

I remember I wanted to hit 10k before the summer, and I did.

It was crazy. (…and again, to step #1, every single time I thought it wasn’t going to happen, but somehow, it always did).

Before I moved to Denmark, I knew the exact apartment building I wanted to live in, and I knew the chances of getting that place in time were slim. But I did. Events effortlessly unfolded to make it happen.

I loved making vision boards for years. But by the end of some years, much of what was on the boards wouldn’t manifest. It’s because I was missing clear-cut goals.

Use this formula if you don’t know where to start:

“I want [this exact specific thing] by [this date], or sooner if it is aligned.”

For example:

  • “I want to feel financially secure with at least [insert an exact dollar amount] of savings by August 2026, or sooner if it is aligned.”

  • “I want to run a 5k before June 2026, or sooner if it is aligned.”

  • “I want to make 3 new aligned friends before the end of 2026, or sooner if it is aligned.”

… um, Emma… but what if my goals don’t come true?

If it is right for you, it will happen effortlessly and magically. Always. The universe will get CREATIVE to make it happen.

If it is not right for you, you are either being gifted more time to practice living in alignment OR being gifted something so much better.

SO. In every. single. situation… you are being gifted the best possible scenario. Even if you can’t see it right now. Especially if you can’t see it right now.

For example, when I was in a heavy moment in my life and out of touch with myself, I thought I wanted an old relationship of mine that had ended. I thought about this person all the time and thought I would never get any better than them.

BOY WAS I WRONG.

I AM SO GLAD I was protected from that person. I didn’t know it at the time, but this person, whether they realized it or not, had a lot of narcissistic abuse tendencies.

….and, a year later, my dream partner, who is my favorite person in the whole world, came into my life.

That’s how it works.

Step 3: Get un-stimulated.

In other words, make it a hobby to protect your damn energy.

It’s your most valuable resource.

To align with your highest self, you need moments of silence. It’s a necessity.

The way one spends time with their higher self to learn from them is through stillness.

And… with apps, food, and substances designed to addict you, this can be really difficult. Take it one moment at a time.

  • Take silent showers.

  • Go for walks without your phone.

  • Meditate (even just for 5 minutes) a day.

  • Pay attention to your breath throughout the day.

  • Lean into how your body is feeling.

One of the MOST important realizations during my healing journey was understanding that many thoughts and behaviors I held onto were not mine. They were a result of my conditioning.

Without stillness and tapping into your body’s wisdom, you can’t know whether or not you are carrying thoughts that are not yours.

🗣 I’VE SAID IT MANY TIMES AND WILL SAY IT AGAIN FOR THOSE IN THE BACK! 🗣

If a thought is not true at the deepest level, if it is not aligned with your truest self and essence, it will make your body feel physically tight. It will induce stress, anxiety, or despair.

If a thought is true, it will make your body feel light and free. You may feel joy, wonder, awe, and love.

That’s what it feels like to connect with your true nature.

But!! It’s much harder to get there when you’re distracted or stimulated by outside sources.

There is so much more I could say on this topic, but this is what feels most aligned and important right now. So I think that’s the message this week!
