3 Journaling Prompts that Changed My Life
to help you to realign this Sunday... 🫶
Happy Sunday, you lovely human 🌞
If you haven’t yet downloaded my newest guide on healing external validation loops, grab it here! I had so much fun making it and would love to hear how it resonated ❤️
Also, pre-registration is now open for the Break the Loop program!!
If you’ve been in cycles of overthinking, replaying the past, or feeling emotionally stuck, this program was made for you.
I know how helpless that spiral can feel, and I created this so you can invest in your healing and break free.
Reply to this email with “break the loop” to get early access!!
For less than the price of a single therapy session (that you don’t even know will work for you), this is a deep dive with the exact tools and energetic shifts that helped me and my clients stop ruminating, heal emotional wounds, and finally feel grounded, peaceful, and back in control.
🤍
Now… for the 3 journaling prompts that changed my life:
1. Your Joy List
In one of my recent videos, I talked about how to find your “intuitive YES!”
It’s the way you feel when your entire body lights up inside.
It’s the way you feel when you bring to mind someone or something that you know is good for you— the opposite of how you feel when you think of someone or something you know is bad for you.
Write a Joy List of everything (small or big) that makes your body light up.
Some of mine include:
Sunshine
My manifestations coming through
Creating music & singing
Matcha and coffee
I keep mine in my notes app.
Whenever I feel low for too long, I can remind myself of what I’ve been missing.
2. Current Reality vs. Desired Reality Audit
Draw a line down the middle of your paper.
On one side, write the habits, thoughts, and energy of your current reality. For example:
Wake up at 7 am
Think about work stress
Drink coffee with creamer on an empty stomach
Go to work and listen to the news
On the other side, write the habits, thoughts, and energy of your desired reality:
Wake up at 5 am
Somatic shake to feel present in my body
Eat a nutritious breakfast
Drink matcha or coffee after 2 hours of waking
Now, for the fun part🤭… Where are the blockages? Where can you bridge the gap and take radical responsibility for your current reality to shift into being who you desire? How can you make these changes with compassion rather than shame?
3. A Letter to Someone Who Hurt You
This one is really good for anxiety and rumination.
Get it all out there. No filter. I mean zero. Say everything you wish you could have said.
Allow the tears to come out, unprocessed memories, all of it.
This is emotional release.
At the end of your letter, once you have written everything you needed, end on this mantra:
“I release this from my body. I give all of your energy back to you, and I take back what is mine. I move on with forgiveness.”
Then (safely) burn it or rip it up.
By not sending it, you’re reminding yourself that the resolution is within you rather than with this person. It has nothing to do with them, and this situation is a lesson for your growth.
With SO much love,
Emma 🫶
